Answers About Signing Up To Become A Distributor

I was planning on saving the sign up post for some point in the future, but since I've already had questions (which is awesome!) I'm going try to answer now. If I miss something, please ask me! I'm always happy to find an answer.

What are the benefits sign up as a distributor?

The benefits for signing up are a great supportive team, discounted distributor prices, lower shipping costs, and owning your own business.

How Much Does Signing Up Cost?

That really depends on what you're looking for. It can cost as little as $40 plus S&H, but I would really recommend the Premium Starter Kit ($150 plus S&H) or the Premium Starter Kit with Aroma Warmer ($160 plus S&H). When I signed up, I went with the $150 kit. The reason for this suggestion is purely based on what you get for the price. Here's a retail breakdown of  the kit pieces.

Everyday Oils collection, which includes 5ml bottles (the smaller bottles) of Joy, Frankincense, Lemon, Lavender, Peppermint, Purification, Panaway, Peace and Calming, Thieves, and Valor.
$163.16
5ml bottle of Stress Away - This is only sold in 15ml bottles on its own. If we take the cost for the 15ml bottle and divide it by three to find out what each 5ml would cost, it would come out to
$13.05
Home Diffuser  OR Aroma Diffuser

 $98.68 OR $117.11
Two of each of the following: Lavender Sample Packets, Peppermint Sample Packets, Peace & Calming Sample Packets, Lemon Sample Packets, Thieves Sample Packets

$13.16
Two NingXia Red 2-oz. samples - These are normally sold in packs of 30 or 90, so taking the price for 30 and breaking it down to two packs, the price would be

$6.99

In addition to that, you would receive the following business supplies:

Welcome to Young Living booklet
Essential Oils at a Glance user’s guide
Distributor Resource Guide
S.E.E.D. Sharing for Success booklet
AromaGlide Roller Fitment
Sample Packet Business Cards
Distributor Agreement
Product Guide and Product Price List

What are the requirements to stay active?

I copied this part directly out of the Policies and Procedures:
"A member account is referred to as being
active” if the member has enrolled as a new member
or purchased a product within the previous 12 month,
and is “inactive” if they have not."

What is an Essential Rewards Order?

An Essential Rewards (ER) order is an awesome way to build up your oils and earn points to get free oils while you're at it. You have to place an ER order of at least $50 each month. You can change it each month or keep it the same, and your card will automatically be charged on the day you set. I personally have mine at the 20th this year, so I can take advantage of the 20% off product of the month Young Living has been doing to celebrate 20 years of business. On months the discounted item isn't quite what I was looking for, I simply make sure my order reaches my goal amount without worrying about the additionally discounted item. You get 10% back in points the first 6 months, 15% the second 6 months, and 20% every month after. Each point is equal to a penny and can be redeemed for oils. You can cancel at any time, but your forfeit your points and start back at 10% if you do.

Do I have to sign up for one of the Essential Rewards kits?

No. You can opt out of signing up for ER when you sign up. If you decide you would like to sing up later, or would like to sign up without one of the kits, you can log into your account later and sign up at that point, adding what you'd like to your order. The kits are great ways to explore products, but they are not required.

Sign Me Up!

If all of your questions have been answered and you feel that signing up is right for you, I would be thrilled to welcome you to my team! You can go to https://www.youngliving.com/signup/ and enter

If you still have questions, please ask. I would be more than happy to answer your questions. It is important to have answers before you sign up, because while joining Young Living as a distributor is a great opportunity, it is not the right choice for everybody. I would rather have a happy customer than an unhappy team member, and I would rather a successful team member than somebody with many questions.
